LucidThought is led by Steven DeLaurentis, an engineer whose career is defined by a rare intersection of Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science. With a foundation in the physics of space and a mastery of scalable cloud data and application systems, Steven's vision is to bring mission-critical analytics capabilities to every industry.
As Technical Integrator and Senior Engineer at NASA, he helped architect data platforms for some of the most demanding information challenges. For example, he connected disparate systems across AWS and Azure to unify mission data.
For over a decade at multiple early-stage tech start-ups, he was pivotal in enabling new revenue streams and massive efficiency gains using cloud distributed architectures. There, he accelerated 100GB+ data transfers by up to 10x and delivered 10TB of vital health data at 45 Gbps.
He helped build a global data visualization platform for major oil refineries, enabling real-time insights from thousands of sensors. His work on parallel processing, smart clustering algorithms, and efficient storage improved safety alerts and reduced downtime.
